Personal
I am a pro-environmentalist libertarian. I believe big government is a bad thing (especially big democracies as they always seem to succumb to "special interest" group of the corporate variety).
It's a difficult line to tread, because people left to their own devices tend not to be overly concerned with the environment, and that doesn't really sit well with me. However, at the same time I don't believe in handing over our lives to a government.
What's the solution? I have no answer to that suffice to say that big government hasn't helped the environment either, so one cannot argue for keeping them around as a solution.
I believe global climate change is a reality, and that if we aren't causing it, we're certainly contributing to it. How anyone can argue that deforestation and pumping noxious gases into the atmosphere has no effect on the planet is completely beyond me. All one needs to do is look at Lebanon to see what the deforestation of their cedar forests has done.
