The Exodus Begins
Slashdot has a story about how many high profile developers have begin moving away from the iPhone. I've warned of iPhone's problems before, been accused of being "jealous of Steve Jobs", and all sorts of other idiotic responses. Well, now all you Jobs-o-philes can be silent. I'm not alone in my disdain for Apple's tyranny in running it's AppStore.
The problem that companies face when they start off with this attitude is earning trust back. At some point now, Apple will have to reconsider, or risk having a platform with 1/2-assed software. When they do, who is going to listen?
The only stumbling block at the moment to Apple wising up are the average users. So long as the regular Joe out there can have his "gee wiz" toy, pea-brains with too much money will keep buying the thing - so why would Apple bother changing anything if they're still making profit while being jerks?
