The Glorious Projector
This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of 1080p Projectors. All opinions are 100% mine.
I love projectors. I've loved them since I first used the old transparent LCD ones which you placed over a regular school-style projector. How could you not enjoy something which brought your games, images, and movies to a giant size?
I've been lucky enough to actually own a projector – we use it for movie nights, inviting people over with a big bowl of popcorn and all the Coca Cola you can drink, and for playing my Wii console (this really brings the motion-sensing controllers to life with even the simplest games, like tennis).
Yet, despite the fun I've had and continue to have, it's hard to ignore the shortcomings of the resolution. When used to play computer games, my projector can go only up to 800x600, which by modern standards is rather low and by large projected standards, it actually quite “fuzzy”. Now imagine using a regular Video cable – it's still awesome watching big-screen movies with surround sound, but it's very obvious there's a resolution issue.
Thankfully, manufacturers of these gems haven't sat around doing nothing – enter the 1080p projectors. What does this mean to the layman? 1080p means it's real high-definition TV compatible, meaning 1080 horizontal scan lines, with “progessive scanning” (which means a crisper image than your 1080i TV). Compare this 1080 to the tradition TV's 480 horizontal scan lines, and you can see we're talking about more than double the resolution. In computer-talk, this translates to a resolution of 1920x1080 – compared to my current projector's maximum resolution of 800x600, and again we're talking about a major upgrade here.
So now you're wondering what's the catch. This one's a doozy – it always seems like the price tag is somewhat outside the reach of the average Joe. At least that's what I thought before I discovered the 1080p Projector site. Before finding this site, my best hope of getting this product was somehow saving up almost $6000. However, one look at the 1080p Projector site, and I spotted one for $999! That's absolutely stunning! I've looked, and no store or electronics outlet anywhere near me can match this price.
The fascinating thing is that this site doesn't actually sell you the products – they simply provide links to places which offer the products at these prices, and some fairly detailed information about the units themselves. That seems like quite a bit of research on their part to find all these offerings and gather the information, and it's all for free.
Projectors for $1000, cables for under $5 – suddenly, it's not so out of reach.
