PHP Lithium
Over the last week, I've been working in the PHP framework Lithium. I've actually been enjoying it.
I tried going via Zend, Symfony and CakePHP first, but found them either too fragmented (Symfony), quirky (hate the implicit connection CakePHP makes between controllers and models), or just weren't embracing the features of PHP 5.3
Lithium seems to address all these - and an interesting name to boot. "Lightweight framework" ... "least dense metal". HAR HAR HAR.
The models are a little crappy, though - I haven't gotten associations to work, but it's a small price to pay I think.
With time, I'm hoping the documentation will improve. The framework can do just about everything I can throw at it, but it takes a fair bit of work finding how it does so.
