Latest Netflix Update on Wii

Has anyone else noticed that the recent Netflix update for the Wii feels like a real mess?

Here's what I've noticed - both good and bad:

  • larger thumbnails in the menu
  • "just for kids" menu
  • Wii crashes (needs hard restart)
  • slower loading
  • forward/backward  thumbnails don't seem to load
  • seems to lose connection a lot more

Of course, I find Netflix still infinitely better than coughing out money for crappy basic cable, but it just feels like a pity that the app seems to have gone a little awry.

Perhaps there's something which has been a benefit which I haven't immediately noticed. Slower loading and "crashes" (which could be a RAM issue) could be explained by higher quality images. Unfortunately, with just a regular old TV, I honestly couldn't tell if that's the case.

Yeah, I'm having a problem even getting the damn thing to start... Everything on my wii is all running perfectly except Netflix... It won't start and when it does, I can watch an hour of video without it crashing, and then it will crash horribly
