I happened upon a YouTube video of a device which really fascinated me. The idea is that it's an SD card which you can pop into your digital camera just like a regular SD memory card, but this one has built-in WiFi, and presumably with a combination of software is able to upload images directly from the camera to your PC or Facebook or Flickr.

I haven't had a chance to experience the device, so it would be interesting to see how one configures the device - I would presume that you would need to have some way of configuring your Facebook/Flickr account information.

The one piece of crucial information lacking in the video is how the device connects to the PC. If the device simply uses the internet connection into the PC, then there's the question of securing the communication in some way between the device and the PC.

Make no mistake - packing so much technology into such a small space is quote the technological feat, so I'm wondering if there's enough room to cater for encryption (including the processing overhead).

Needless to say, I'm very curious to learn more of this product, and I'll update information here as I find out more!
